All our family lineages immigrated from Great Britain. Reportedly, our Easleys were French Huguenots who fled to England.  Robert immigrated to VA. Not one direct American Easley ancestor has died in military combat. Our earliest ancestor, William Powell, arrived in VA Colony in 1607-11.
Our latest ancestor, Daniel Murphy, arrived in VA Colony in about 1735. Capt. Wm. Powell was killed by Indians in 1623 revenging the massacre of 1622. Doctor John Woodson was killed in the Indian Massacre of 1644. Of the very first, delivered, 20 Negro slaves to the Colony, John Woodson purchased six!
Easleys were integrating but stanch Protestant Reformists. Robert Easley jointly owned property with Thomas Jefferson Sr. Captain William Powell was the Lieutenant Governor of Jamestown. Captain William Powell was Commander of Jamestown.
Robert Easley arrived in VA years before the large immigration of Huguenots. Robert Easley brought indentured individuals, headrights, to VA. Reportedly, Robert Easley was a family member of the Noble House d'Escalis of France. Easleys reportedly were Swiss-Italian merchants arriving in France c1000-1400
Reportedly, Robert Easley was a headright of Captain William Byrd II. Easleys are eligible for membership in the First Families of VA Society. Easleys are eligible for membership in the Colonial Dames Society. Easleys are eligible for membership in the Huguenot Societies.
Two American Colony ancestors were members of the first VA House of Burgess:  Captain William Powell and Captain William Tucker. Grandma Nancy Elizabeth (Harrell) Whitton is the only family ancestor to complete Manifest Destiny in her life time. (born in VA and died in CA) EASLEY FAMILY BLOG PAGE
